POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Sophomore outfielder Ali Milam of the Marist softball team was named First Team All-ECAC on Thursday morning.
Milam has earned several honors following an impressive sophomore season in which she tied the program’s single-season record with 54 RBIs. Earlier this month, she was named NFCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-MAAC.
This season, Milam led the Red Foxes in seven categories: batting average, home runs, RBIs, total bases, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and walks. She had a six-RBI game at Rider on May 6, and two games with five RBIs. She also compiled a streak of 16 consecutive games reaching base, the longest of any Red Fox this season.
The Marist softball team placed third at this season’s MAAC Championship. The Red Foxes have reached the conference tournament seven of the last eight years, and captured MAAC championships in 2006, 2013, and 2016.
